About Dr. Mohammed Sammour
Dr. Mohammed Sammour graduated medical school from the University of Pavia Medical School in Pavia, Italy. His residency in Family Medicine was completed at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Consequently, Dr. Sammour began his successful medical career at institutions such as Johns Hopkins Aramco Saudi Campus; Kaiser Permanente Medical Groups in Dallas, TX; and Gunderson Multi-Specialty Clinics in Tomah, WI. Dr. Sammour has practiced medicine for over 25 years.
In 2014, Dr. Sammour found Houston Headache Institute to be a fit to his expertise and passion for the specialty. A migraine sufferer himself, Dr. Sammour took interest in the field of headache and pain medicine very early in his career. He has had a personalized approach for each patient.
He truly understands that no two patients are the same when it comes to headaches. This approach has granted him a successful outcome for his patients, whether he was practicing here at home or during his tenure at the Johns Hopkins Aramco campus in Saudi Arabia. He has been the referral source among his colleagues for headaches no matter where in the world he was practicing.
Dr. Sammour’s diversified and international background has granted him a unique approach to patients suffering from headaches and migraines. He is always seeking new ways to treat headaches and other pain conditions. This unique combination of talent makes him one of the leaders in the field. He uses the latest medical techniques and technology to treat his patients. On a weekly basis, he treats hundreds of migraine patients from in and out of state. His expertise ranges from regenerative bio-cellular treatment to proliferative therapy injections. He has attended extensive training courses and workshops for prolotherapy and bio-cellular treatment in several international and national destinations, such as Guadalajara, Tampa, Las Vegas, and Lima, to name just a few.
Both Dr. Payman Sadeghi and Dr. Sammour have mastered these techniques in order to create a new treatment for migraines and headaches. With their new techniques, they have successfully treated many patients with complicated and chronic migraines who had no other hope.
Dr. Sammour is a member of the American Headache Society and American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine, and he is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Sammour is fluent in English, Italian, and Arabic.
